2 scenes [actually the latter is not a scene, more a visualisation] that ring in my proverbial head for the week that passed by.

1. an old lady being rushed into a LRT train with its doors closing, by 2 foreign domestic workers

2. a colleague who is seemingly quitting, after giving birth, so as to take care of her newborn child.

All this happening, with the backdrop of the 2005 Budget being presented in Parliament.
